    A-Tech Co., Ltd. is established.
    Receives the transfer of combustion-related business and recycling-related business from thyssenkrupp Otto K.K.

    Transfers all its stocks to ThyssenKrupp Uhde GmbH and becomes a group company.

    The Plant Business Division is divided into the Engineering 1 Division and Engineering 2 Division, and the Pool Business Division is reorganized as the Aqua Amenity Business Division.

    Kazuya Sakamoto receives the transfer of all stocks held by Dr. C. Otto & Comp. and dissolves the capital tie-up except business alliance. The company becomes a wholly Japanese-owned corporation, and the company name is changed to OTTO Co., Ltd.
    Japan OTTO Co., Ltd. merges with COTEX Co., Ltd., and the company name is changed to OTTO Co., Ltd. The new long-term management plan, "Recreation of OTTO," is initiated.

    Japan Combustion Systems Co., Ltd. changes its name to COTEX Co., Ltd.
    Yokogawa Electric Corporation acquires a 20% stake in COTEX Co., Ltd.

    Japan Combustion Systems Co., Ltd., is established as a subsidiary.
    Begins business in the field of heat/combustion and incineration engineering.

    Kazuya Sakamoto becomes the representative director, succeeding the director dispatched from Dr. C. Otto & Comp.
    All stocks held by The Japan Steel Works, Ltd. are transferred to Tomen Corporation.
  13. 1952
    Japan OTTO Co., Ltd. is established as the exclusive Japanese agent of Dr. C. Otto & Comp. in former West Germany.
    Shareholding ratios are as follows: Dr. C. Otto & Comp.; 74%, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.; 13%, The Japan Steel Works, Ltd.; 13%.
